Vice President Joe Biden, “there’s no possibility to restore 8 million jobs lost in the Great Recession.”

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20008924-503544.html

This guy literally has no clue what he is talking about.  How can someone so ignorant to economics hold the position of Vice President of the United States of America?

I am curious.  Joe, how did the economy create those 8 million jobs in the first place?  Was it magic?  Did people just wake up one day and decide “Hey, I think I’ll have a job today”?  Please Joe, help me out here…

I mean, I’m no Vice President of the United States so I don’t expect to understand how  the economy works, however, historically speaking it looks like low taxes, pro business laws, less restrictions on the free market have all led to an increase in jobs and prosperity.  But, like I said, I’m no Vice President.

In closing, the intellectual, liberal, elites have spoken and I am truly, truly sorry if you were one of the 8 million that lost their job.  My heart breaks for you, since you will never, ever, be able to work again (not my words, Joe’s).

No, the fish was really this big….

Seriously, this big

Seriously, this big

It has been awhile since we have posted anything about Biden. Now that I think about it, has he really done anything since being elected? Either way, Joe’s one of a kind witti -ness was displayed last week.

Joe has a long history of gaffes, exaggerations and lies. His latest was an attack on Bush. “I remember President Bush saying to me one time in the Oval Office,” Biden began, “‘Well, Joe,’ he said, ‘I’m a leader.’ And I said: ‘Mr. President, turn and around look behind you. No one is following.'” According to White House staffers not only did this exchange never happen but Biden never even had a meeting with the President alone in the Oval office.

This is not the first time Biden has made Bush the goat in his whimsical fantasies. In 2006 Biden said the following on Real Time with Bill Maher “And the president will say things to me, and I’ll literally turn to the president, say: ‘Mr. President, how can you say that, knowing you don’t know the facts?’ And he’ll look at me and he’ll say – my word – he’ll look at me and he’ll say: ‘My instincts.’ He said: ‘I have good instincts.’ I said: ‘Mr. President, your instincts aren’t good enough.'”

Karl Rove gave this analysis “If you notice, all of these incidents have the same structure: Joe Biden courageously raises the impudent question; the president befuddles the answer; and Joe Biden drives home the dramatic response.”

I believe everyone has had exchanges with people where afterwards you think to yourself “I should have said X.” Unfortunately, Biden does not merely think he should have said X, but actually claims that he did say it.

The Right often accuses Obama of living in a dream world when it comes to his policies and whether they will succeed. It seems that poor Joe’s dream world is a bit more all-encompassing.

A Speech for the Ages…

Posted by maker on February 7, 2009

“In other countries the banks are too big for the countries. They’re bigger than the sum of the country…Literally the bank’s bigger. They make up about 2 percent of our GDP. Other countries are 35 to 40 percent. Anybody can remember a time when that’s happened before? Can anybody remember a time when, uh, we found ourselves in a recession that, worldwide, that both relates to the way it was generated it started here with the way we have this sort of sclerosis in our, in our, in, you know the blood stream and flow of capital. Anybody remember a time when we’re talking about, if we don’t make some real changes, deficits that are a trillion two hundred billion dollars a year for as far as the eye can see, if we don’t, ah, get it right, which you guys have already?” -Joe Biden 2/6/09

Over the past few days we have seen a much different Obama than previously marketed. The Obama we now see is aggressively partisan and even tempermental in his frustration over not getting his bill passed without opposition. Perhaps in light of this recent change, Joe is doing his damnedest to make Obama look like the well-spoken, level-headed cherub we have been told he is. In that case, Joe, you’re a friggin’ genius.
