Ronald Reagan once said:

“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.

We at The Daily Switch, believe that we have a responsibility to defend our freedom and liberty. These United States of America were founded on the principle that we were created with the right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. We believe that the same Liberty the founders spoke of is not more than one generation, or even one breath away from extinction.

The political climate today provides as much danger to our Liberty as any other time in our nation’s history, as it is being assaulted from both external and internal forces. It faces barbaric terrorists attacks worldwide. Demagogues seek to take it from you at home. William F. Buckley wrote of his magazine:

“It stands athwart history, yelling Stop, at a time when no one is inclined to do so, or to have much patience with those who so urge it.”

Like Reagan, we do not want the burden of having to explain to our children and our children’s children what it was like to be free. We will defend our Liberty from the aggression of populists, tyrants and despots and like Buckley we will yell “Stop.”
